Haloumi & Avocado Bao Buns

These Bao Buns are a quick, absolutely delicious meal you can pull together in 15 minutes. A step up from Friday Night Burgers & the kids love them too!
Serves 4 - 2 buns each
- 8x Bao Buns (I use the United Food Co ones, available in Freezer section of Supermarket)
- A packet of Slaw Mix, or you can make your own
- Spicy Mayonnaise (we LOVE the 'One Night In Spicy Chipotle Taco sauce') Can substitute for any mayonnaise to suit taste
- 200g Haloumi Cheese
- Oil
- Pumpkin or Poppy Seeds - (optional just to sprinkle on top)
- 1x Avocado
Cook Bao Buns as per the packet instructions. I line my Bamboo Steamer with Baking Paper so they don't stick and steam for approx 10 minutes.
Assemble Slaw Mix - If it comes with a dressing I usually use a small amount and toss it through
Slice your Haloumi cheese into 10 slices and pan fry in some oil until golden. Rest on some paper towels to soak up any excess oil but try to serve warm.
Open you Bao Buns and pop in Slaw Mix, top with Pumpkin Seeds, Haloumi & sliced Avocado. Squeeze Mayonnaise over top.
